2023-12-17 2:25pm. Heading out for the daily dog walk. Friday’s 6+ mile walk with Joyce sans-dog “earned” me a day off (yesterday)… though getting off my butt for a short walk might have been a better recovery plan than sitting, editing images, writing and just hanging out. Each day is a new adventure.

Sunday, after the morning football and before the evening game, we did a much shorter, but very steep walk up Pineapple Road adjacent to the Kapalua Golf Course. The incline was noticeable and appreciated. I did 4,940 steps today, many of them at a steep angle. The property developer planted these Cook Pine trees to line both sides of Pineapple Road and it made for some interesting photography. So far on this trip I’ve yet to pull out my expensive Sony camera… funny that the “best camera” is always the one that you have with you. We have trips to an observatory and a couple other “destinations” scheduled for later in the trip, so hopefully I’ll break out the “real” camera for some of those shots. Either way, I don’t care, I’m having fun and enjoying the change in routine and scenery. Mahalo.
