2023 Hawaiian Xmas Trip: Day Two: Running Errands

2023-12-14 11:23AM. Running errands. Not exactly a vacation-type activity, but my thing in my many travels, that seem to be more a distant memory at the moment, has always been about sampling the local scene(s) as quickly and as often as possible. So today I’m with Nathan’s girlfriend, Marie, and we’re doing the run around town errands. First stop, the post office. I’m actually outside being a weirdo writing these words and taking pictures in my red “I Was There STS133” t-shirt. 👨‍🚀 Nerd.

The Post Office, Target, the Mall and Costco. It was just like being at home. I was also reminded that I arrived without any xmas gifts for my hosts… ack. So I had some fun coming up with gifts and sharing in a bit more of the local culture. Today I clocked 6,005 steps.

At the end of the day we celebrated with a large platter of sushi, many adult beverages and I was introduced to a new(ish) series of”Julia” on Max. Oh boy another series to watch. 😎
